AMARANTHINE MUSEUM
Treasure Hunt
Travel through the labyrinth of the Amaranthine Museum and find treasures in the detail of the more than 200 paintings of the late Baltimore artist Les Harris. The labyrinth is a complex tapestry of images offering a reservoir of insight into the history of art and the creative process and both adult and child versions are available. Search for the details in the photographs in the museum’s painting. Prizes will be awarded for the most complete entry at each session.

AMERICAN VISIONARY ART MUSEUM
All Things Round: Galaxies, Eyeballs & Karma
In celebration of the exhibition "All Things Round" and Free Fall Baltimore, the American Visionary Art Museum opens its doors for free admission to the museum. AVAM’s new exhibition is a celebration and call to awareness of the circular and voluptuous nature of life. Including the works of 70+ inspired, intuitive artists, this exhibition delights in the curves, spirals, orbs, and bubbles of full-bodied beauty that playfully manifest throughout art and science.

Black Male Identity: Community Voice Chat and Scat Series Barbershop Conversations
This exhibition is a selection of works by artists and Baltimore community members exploring black male identity from a variety of perspectives. These works were produced in Black Male Identity art workshops held at the Center for Urban Families, Urban Leadership Institute, and Baltimore BORN.
The Chat and Scat Series are conversations with guest speakers on social and civic issues related to black male identity, interwoven with performances by a variety of jazz artists.

Art on Purpose’s Black Male Identity project includes a series of Barbershop Conversations – discussions held literally in barbershops. In conjunction with an exhibition currently on view at New Beginnings, a combined hair salon/art gallery in Southwest Baltimore, we will engage with artists and others in a discussion that explores contemporary ideas regarding art and black male identities from the early 20th century to today.

CONTEMPORARY MUSEUM
Film Showing: Rebellious Bird
Rebellious Bird is a fresh looking watercolor cut-out animation created by Philadelphia-based artist Jennifer Levonian. The documentary short ostensibly revolves around Wendy Ramsburg, an American Civil War reenactor who portrays women soldiers that disguised themselves as men, but the film also asks broader questions about gender roles in society. The film will be presented as part of the Civil War exhibition currently at the Maryland Historical Society.
